Indigo is one of those love on first sight dogs for Hutsie and he has a fabulous temperament. We got him when he was a bit over 4 years old. He arrived in his crate from a long flight, wagging his tail, happy smile on his face and he bonded with Hutsie right away and has been very attached to her since.

Indigo is the kind of dog that seems to be smiling all the time. He will get a look on his face of sheer happiness whenever he looks at Hutsie. He also has fallen in love with Don and their baby grandchild, Kegan. When Hutsie babysits her he would go sneak into her baby bag and get pacifiers. Then he'd hide them in his crate. He wouldn't chew them up, but would lay proudly with his baby toys. One day he slowly collected all her toys and put them in his crate. When Kegan's on the floor to play Indigo would have to lay down too with his nose or paw gently touching her . At nap time in the crib, he would have to jump on the bed nearby so he could see her all the time.

 He is gentle and has proven himself to be an amazing racing dog even though he started his racing career late. It took him a while to decide he could go into the sunlight and walk, let alone run, but once he got the racing bug he never looked back. He is a dog with so much heart that it amazes us. He was high scoring Veteran Racer at Silkenfest 2006 and 2007, coming in overall 5^th place in 2006 as an FTE then overall 4^th place in 2007 racing as an almost 7 year old dog. He has gone on to come in 2^nd to River at a few other races even though we have semi retired him.  ~(((
